Subject:State of the Game (MOD POST)
Posted by:tenchichan.
Time:2:02 pm.
So some of you may be wondering what's happening with the game at the time. Well, we took that giant break for the holidays, but we will be starting again soon enough.

The first month of the game was a testing period, seeing what works and what doesn't. There are going to be a few changes in store for Xavier's School.

First of all, I'm cutting the Avengers and The Brotherhood. If you have characters on those teams, you are encouraged to keep them as students/X-Men. All Brotherhood will be NPC'd by moderators and Paradox's dupes will be NPCs open to any player.

If you have a character you want to bring in, or a character that wasn't working out, now is the time to make changes in your characters or bring in new ones. If you want to trim the fat, that's fine, if you want to take on more characters, that's fine too.

We are really hurting for canon characters. We need a full X-Men roster to do what I want to do.

When gameplay resumes, it will be two weeks after the Mutant Award Ceremonies. It will be assumed the Brotherhood escaped the mansion and the ceremony with what they wanted.

Subject:Babysitting- Part 2
Posted by:xs_paradox.
Time:8:56 pm.
Gaining access to the Xavier's Institute was just about the easiest thing ever for James Arthurs to do. Although the school boasted superior technology and high class survellience equipment, he had an easy way to bipass it all. Retina scans and even gene sequencers would read him as being Jamie Madrox, otherwise known as Multiple Man, because technically the man named Paradox WAS a part of Jamie Madrox. The gates opened slowly as Paradox walked through casually. He clicked a button on his earpiece and said "Paradox to Psion, I am in the perimeter. Move out and locate the cerebro files. I'll create a diversion."

With a snap of his fingers he split into two people. The first Paradox looked at the second and said, "Are you ready for this?"

"Ready as I'll ever be," said the duplicate with a sigh. Paradox pulled out a pistol and shot his duplicate in the leg. He howled out in pain as a third duplicate was produced.

"That looks painful," said the third dupe with a smirk.

"Shut up," said the wounded dupe.

"Let's make haste," said Paradox as he reabsorbed the third duplicate into his body. The wounded duplicate nodded and walked over the intercom. "Is anyone there?" he asked into the speaker.

Meanwhile, inside the living room, Wolverine picked up the signal coming from the speaker in the hallway. He said nothing as he wandered out of the television room and answered the call. "Yeah?" he said.

Shit. It was Wolverine's voice. This was going to be tricky. He had counted on the kids being left alone or with some non-threat, but Wolverine alone could bring the entire operation to a screeching halt. "W-wolverine?" said the dupe. "It's Jamie Madrox. I've been wounded..."

Logan sighed and said, "Madrox? You been wounded? This ain't a hospital you know."

"I know," he said as he gulped for air. "Please, I had nowhere else to go. Someone's after me... is Xavier here?"

"Nah, he's gone," said Logan. "Look, stay put I'll come get ya." He ended communications and returned to the room. "Alright, everyone," he said as he clicked the mute button on the television. "We got a guest arriving at the mansion. Somethin' ain't right about it so I want you to stay out of the way. You can stay here if you want or return to your rooms, but I don't want ya to be walkin' around the hallways or anything. You got it?"

Logan walked out of the room and ran across the school grounds in a sprint. By the time he had gotten to the gates, the dupe had passed out from the loss of blood. He quickly scooped the body up and bolted to the medlab. "You sure did make a mess of yourself," said Logan as he began to field dress the wound.

What he wasn't expecting however was the dupe to spring to life and pull a knife out on him. The vibranium blade hit Wolverine right between the shoulder blades, sending a spray of blood against the walls.

"Son of a..." trailed Wolverine as he popped adamantium claws from his knuckles. He quickly leapt at the duplicate, slicing him in his good leg. He squeeled out in pain as Wolverine followed through with a kick to the gut. The kick to the gut created a second duplicate. He reached behind him and pulled out the blade, throwing it to the ground in a clatter. "Talk," he demanded as he brandished his claws and swung them wildly into the duplicate's face.

"Go ahead and lop my head off, won't make any difference. Neither of us are the original. By this point the school is swarming with us. Think you can take us all out, old man?" he said as he lunged at Wolverine.

Wolverine quickly stabbed the duplicate through the throat and gently placed him on the ground, hoping not to cause another duplication by the impact. The wound in his back was irritated by the vibranium and not healing as quickly as he would have liked. He limped over to the panel on the wall and pressed a button. "This is Wolverine. Mansion security has been breached. All students make your way to the nearest safety zone. Stick together and if you see anyone you don't recognize, give 'em hell."

Subject:Mutant Award Ceremony-Part 2
Posted by:xs_npc.
Time:4:32 pm.
Julie Slepnir got the short end of the mutant stick. While her mutation gave her super strength and durability on a near omega level, it left her body small, meek and childlike. Although she was nearly thirty, she looked not a day over ten years old, and it caused her much heartache in life. She had met Charles Xavier once during her sole year as a student at his Seattle school, but he had no answers for her. He told her that they would do everything to help her adjust to her life and to harness her abilities, but gave no promise of helping her to continue to age. So Julie sought answers elsewhere, in a much darker place. And while the Brotherhood of Mutants was not able to help her either, they at least helped her to let out some of her built up agression.

She fiddled with her earpiece and spoke quietly as she approached the front of the building. "This is Lolita, I am in position," she said. There was a hiss from her earpiece and then a follow up, "Chaos to Lolita, you are clear to move out." The small girl walked timidly through the front doors only to be stopped by guards.

"I'm sorry young lady, you can't come in here," said the first guard.

"But my mommy's in there and I'm lost," said Lolita as she pretended to sniffle.

"Oh, um, okay who is your mommy?" asked the second guard.

"Emma," she said with a fake hiccup, "Emma Frost."

"I didn't know Emma Frost had any kids," said the first guard to the other. "Alright little girl, I'll escort you. Follow me."

Lolita followed the guard as he took her past the press outside and through the ornate lobby that lead into the hall that the ceremony was taking place at. He opened the door carefully and walked the small girl inside. "Alright, do you see your mommy?" he asked.

"Yeah," she said. "Thanks for letting me in." Her voice no longer had the sweet, innocent tone of a child, but the hardened voice of a criminal. The guard would have noticed it eventually had she not leapt up and crushed his spine with her bare hands. She quickly grabbed his pistol from its holster and started firing wildly into the crowd. "Alright everyone!" she screamed. "It's time to pay the fucking piper!"

Meanwhile as she fired into the crowd, a second mutant came in repelling through the ceiling. Abigail Nerissa's skin was pale and she had dark circles under both eyes. Her powers gave her the ability to cause complete and utter chaos. She hung upside down from a thin line as she pulled out a device from her pocket. She turned the two ends of the small, bomb like device and threw it down into the middle of the audience.

It went off quickly in a flash as a pulse of energy began to fill the room. One by one, all of the audience members who carried a mutant x-gene fell to the floor, save for the Brotherhood who had already taken measures to protect themselves from the harmful ray. The mutants would not die, only be knocked unconcious for some time.

As soon as the device began to work, Jinx quickly leapt from the table, knocking over a few drinks and jinxed the device with her powers, sending the pieces of it in opposite directions, causing it to malfunction.

"Dammit," said Jinx as she looked at the two mutants ready to attack the crowd.

Suddenly from the stage area, the third mutant in the gang made his presence known. David Welsh had the ability to change objects into a golden metal, thus giving him the name Midas. His body was covered in the metal now, giving him durability and a mean uppercut. He pushed aside the startled award presenter and began to fire on the crowd with a souped up golden machine gun.

"Death to the gene traitors," he screamed.

((OOC Note: I split the scene this way because it had been awhile since I posted part one. You can continue to play part one, just make sure that you don't change anything in relation to part two.I will be posting the student equivilant later. I would have posted it right away but I have to go to work soon.

ALSO: None of your characters were effected by the bomb. That was simply a plot device to rid the room of NPCs, since there are quite a few mutants at this event.))

Time:1:34 pm.
Logan grumbled to himself inaudibly as he sat sprawled on the couch, a beer in hand. When Emma had approached him about babysitting the mansion, he didn't know what to tell her. He hated playing den leader to the kids, but he hated wearing a tuxedo too. In the end, it was the promise of free sandwiches that convinced him to have a night in. Vollenhoven had sprung for a nice spread so the kids could have a good time, even without being invited to actually attend the awards ceremony. He grabbed a plate and ravaged the buffet, piling up two hoagies, some sort of bean dip and an entire bag of pretzels. He sat silently on the couch, watching the award ceremony and munching away on his food.

Subject:McTaggart Award for Excellence in the Field of Mutant Sciences
Posted by:xs_npc.
Time:1:23 pm.
The band left the stage in all sorts of disarray, mutant award statues in hand, as a man approached the podium. His signature blue hair was pulled back into a tight ponytail as tufts of fur poked out on all sides of his tuxedo. He simply buldged out of his suit, his massive hands reaching for a pair of small reading glasses which he affixed to his snout. He leaned forward and began his speech.

"In the field of science, there have been several women who have made outstanding discoveries, several women who have made the impossible seem possible. We honor Marie Curie, we honor Jane Goodall, we honor Moria McTaggart and tonight we honor a mutant whose achievements and honors are so numerous, they seem impossible to count. When I first met Dr. Deah Cooper, she was but a young woman, a fledgling academic with little control over her powers. With time, however, I am proud to say she may yet even surpass myself in honor. It is a defeat I take with grace and pride, for I know one day she will indeed change the world."

"It is with great joy and deepest pride that I present this, the McTaggart Award for Excellence in the Field of Mutant Sciences to Dr. Deah Cooper."

The audience erupted in a cacophany of applause and cheers.

((OOC: There are two threads for this event. All the adult characters will be at this thread, all of the children will be at the next one.))

Subject:To All Students and Staff
Posted by:frost_.
Time:5:30 pm.
Attention all students and staff.

As a teacher, nothing gives me more joy than to see one of my students grow and make something of themselves. Therefore, it is with great pride that I announce that Dr. Deah Cooper is to be this year's recipiant of the McTaggart Award for Excellence in Mutant Sciences. This is a very prestigious award and an extraordinary honor for Dr. Cooper.

Dr. Cooper will recieve said award tomorrow night during the "Alliance of Mutants Award for Excellence" ceremony.

Due to the X-Men's attendance at the event, evening classes for tomorrow evening will be cancelled. Any assignments due will not be due until the next class period.

Logan will be in charge of the students for the duration of the ceremony. We expect you to be on your best behavior. Logan has been given full detention authority and I assure you he is not a person you would wish to upset.

The event will be televised and a small viewing party will take place in main hall recreation room. Refreshments will be served.

And once more, let me extend congratulations to Dr. Cooper for all of her achievements.

Time:4:24 pm.
Gwen was hitching her way across America all the way to Xavier's School. Hitching was something she'd done many times before in the past. She found herself this time sitting in the passenger seat of semi truck delivering food to some grocerie store.

The truck driver, Stan, was nice enough to help her out and thankfully wasn’t hitting on her. The last driver she hitched a ride with was trying to get onto her and even proposed to marry her. While she was flattered by the offer, Gwen had no interest in this man and quickly left to find a different ride. Not that getting to this area of New York was easy by hitching. It was out of the city after all, and some drivers didn’t have any interest in having passengers. But Gwen was lucky, she found a decent man to have nothing more then a conversation with who was heading in the right direction, able to drop her off a mere mile from where this school was she was heading to.

Stan didn’t ask too many personal questions, he was content to talk about himself and any other subject that crossed his mind. He did however mention Jesus and the Lord a few times, and when Gwen failed to respond, Stan began to question her about faith.

“You have faith?” Stan asked. “You have Jesus with you?”

Gwen wanted to giggle and blurt out something funny, she had a few ideas of what to say, but she knew each of those jokes might offend Stan. She had to bite her tongue not to blurt up she has Jesus cut up and packed in her duffle bag. They only had a few more miles to go to their destination and she didn’t want him to be uncomfortable or offended by her strange personality. There was a temptation to mess with Stan that was nearly overwhelming, but she didn’t want to act overly enthusiastic either.

“Oh yes, I believe in the Lord.” Gwen said with a smile, lying through her teeth, “I don’t always get to church living on the road, but I say my prayers and read my bible. The lord Protects me.” Gwen patted her duffle bag for added emphasis, as if this was where her supposed bible was held.

“Halleluiah” Stan exclaimed, apparently believing her deception. Lying and conning people usually did come natural to Gwen. How he believed this metal pierced Goth chick hitching a ride on the highway really was a poor little church girl was beyond her, but somehow he was convinced. Gwen was not in the mood to talk about faith or God of course, but she was dependant on his semi at the moment.

Gwen listened as Stan started to tell her his encounter with the Lord and how he found God while driving his truck through some storm. Gwen smiled pleasantly and gave her own responses of “Praise Jesus” still only humoring him while acting like she believed and was into what he was saying. While he focused on driving she reached into her duffle bag and began fishing out some things, a set of nails and copper wiring, some plastic beads from a Mardi Gras necklace, and rose petals.

Stan continued to talk, occasionally with a question or observation of his own, but Gwen had stopped paying attention as she worked on creating a cross. Stan asked her what she was making finally.

“It’s for you, to protect and keep the Lord with you.” Gwen smiled sweetly, lying yet again. She wrapped the wire and petals around the nails, strung the beads through the wire. Stan was quieter for the ride as he watched as she fashioned what could be just a simple cross, possibly as a necklace or hung from the dashboard. It was cheaply made obviously, nothing particularly special from outward appearance, but it was no simple cross, not with Gwen’s talents. Gwen found some string to make it into a necklace for him once the cross itself was finished.

Gwen finally presented the cross to Stan, who readily accepted it. She insisted on putting it on him, and luckily he agreed. The instant he put it on, Stan’s eyes and face lit up with light for a second, and he got a glazed look to him. The necklace was acting as a mind control device, making him accept her commands and leaving him with little recollection once the she was out of the necklaces presence. It was keyed to her voice only, the rose petals made sure of that.

“Stan, can we be quiet for the rest of the trip?” Gwen asked the man, whose gaze seemed glassy eyed but otherwise he was completely aware and still competent.

“Yes” he responded.

“Grand, drive on then.” Now Stan could take her all the way to this school in silence. What a lucky thing that was for her.

Subject:First Day of Class//Open
Posted by:telepathology.
Time:8:50 pm.
She waited until everyone had taken their seats and paper stopped rustling before she began. It wasn't her usual classroom, Deah preferred a more forum like setting with desk pushed to the perimeter; this was fine too. Two times a week, two and a half hours a day in a large lecture hall in the Worthington Building that was made to accommodate three hundred students. It was the beginning of the semester and the course was new, there wasn't an empty seat in the place, but she knew as the year progressed students would drop or worse yet just stop attending. It didn't particularly bother her, but to be able to graduate from the Institute students needed a passing grade.

She climbed the steps to the top of the room and as she descended she handed off a stack of papers to each row: the dreaded syllabus. Once at the lower level she made her way behind the desk to the over head projector, that was currently displaying a big blank square, until she put up the first slide.

"It is important to become acquainted with your professors, so allow me to introduce myself. My name is Doctor Deah Cooper," she began, "And I am a graduate of Xavier's Institute. I completed my undergraduate studies at New York University, receiving my Bachelors in psychology, biochemistry and psychiatric sciences. From there I transferred to Empire State University where I received my doctorate in neurological surgery," she felt a buzz in the back of her mind as the students listened intently to her brief background, "Yes, I was awarded a Nobel Prize in Mutant Sciences. My studies can be found in the E.S.U. medical journals, for all of those who are interested."

"This is Power Classes and Categories. Firstly before we begin, I'd like to stress that my office is always open, it is located in MacTaggart A, off of the med lab. For some of you this class will be challenging, it is up to you to maintain your studies and seek extra help if you find your grades less than desirable. "

"We will meet here, Tuesdays and Thursday from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. As the semester progresses, I will offer a few additional study sessions in the library, but we will cross that bridge when we get to it." She pointed to the top of the slide, which was the same as the syllabus, "There is my e-mail and office phone number, please make note."

"Homework will be assigned for each chapter from the text and will be collected. Doing the homework will benefit the student. Some of the exam problems may be similar to the homework problems. Prior to each lecture, it is expected that the student will have read the appropriate chapters. Reading the material ahead of time will facilitate the learning process. There will be unannounced quizzes given at the beginning of class, based upon the reading. "

"There will be five exams and a final. The final will be cumulative. The material on the exam will be based on lectures, the text, and videos shown during the lectures. If you do not attend a regularly scheduled exam the grade given for that exam will be 0. THERE ARE NO MAKE-UP EXAMS," Her expression was stoic as many students groaned audibly.

"If you miss a class there will not be an opportunity to make up the work. Acts of academic dishonesty during the exams will result in a grade of E for the course. I just want to make thing one clear: there will be no use of powers during any of my classes. That includes the use of telepathy, teleportation of test answers or exams, reality altering abilities, conjuring of answers, heightened vision, etc. I promise you I will find out."

There was a rustling of paper as the class flipped to the next page, while Deah changed slide, "The grading scale will be much more rigorous compared to the particularly lax system in place at Xavier's. I do not give pluses or minuses. An A is 100% to 93%, a B: 92% to 81% and a C is 80% to 72%. Because you all need a C or better anything below 72% will be considered failing.

"Exams are worth a total of 200 points, for a total of 1,000 points. Miscellaneous test and quizzes will be worth a total of 500 points. The final is worth 1,000 points and will make up 40% of your final grade. Please note the last day to withdrawal and the dates of all of the exams," she plucked the final slide off the projector and laid it on her neatly arranged desk, the page making a right angle flush with the corner. She stood once more and paced the front of the classroom.

Deah came back to the projector with a felt tip marker in hand, "Lets begin shall we." She wrote on the slide OMEGA LEVEL MUTANTS (Ω), then recapped her pen and stood.

"Omega-level mutant is a designation for a certain powerful class of super-powered individuals to indicate Mutants with the ability (or potential) to exist beyond the boundaries of physical existence. Being able to control matter and energy on the sub-molecular scale, as well as having a body capable of withstanding such power levels without external help, are requirements to meeting this classification. "

"The term was originally coined for the mutants who pose the greatest threat, but Professor X optimistically changed the definition for those with unlimited potential in their powers. Those with omega (the last) potential are the ones closest to reaching a final stage of evolution. Whether their potential results in they themselves turning into Phoenixes (like Jean Grey) or their descendants doing so, within Omega-level mutants lies the potential to bring about the end."

"Only a few mutants in the entire population have been confirmed as Omega-level," she made her way back to the projector to scribble down a list, "These include: Elixir, Iceman, Franklin Richards, Jean Grey, Kid Omega, Mister M, Mr. Immortal, Rachel Summers and Vulcan."

She then wrote ALPHA LEVEL MUTANTS (A), "The next designation...for a class of mutant who have a greater level of power than most mutants. While most lower-level mutations might only affect the outward appearance, alpha-level mutants may possess enhanced strength, energy manipulation, agility, ability to heal, etc. Their powers, however, are not as great as omega-level mutants..." she took a long pause in speaking to jot down another list, there was a flurry of paper rustling as the students tried to keep up.

The ListCollapse )

Deah made special note next to Storms name, "This is important...it has been theorized by Ironman that she is predicted to reach Omega status very soon." She continued despite the vigorous note taking, "Other classes include Beta and Delta Epsilon. Your text goes into further detail about these classes," walking up the aisle again to pass out a second sheet of paper.

"Your first assignment. I want you all to write a seven page paper outlining the different classes, then focusing upon one of the mutants I have listed, please only pick from the Omega and Alpha. I want you use three different sources, not including your text. An interview with an X-Man will count." She looked at the hands that were raising, "No, you cannot write your thesis on me." Deah made her way to the front of the room again, her face lifted in a smile, "Now, does anyone have any questions?"

Subject:Welcome Back (OPEN TO ALL)
Posted by:xs_xavier.
Time:7:57 pm.
Charles Xavier sat in his wheelchair on the freshly cut lawns of the Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning. The usual opening day chaos was just about to start, but per tradition, nothing was official until he gave his famous opening day speech. He rolled up to the podium, cleared his throat and began.

"Students, parents, teachers and X-Men, I am Professor Charles Xavier. I welcome you all today to join me for the coming semester at Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning," he paused a second to wait for the applause to die down.

"This year I would like to take time to honor those who had come before by welcoming some new additions to our teaching staff. As you may well know, amongst us are some of my former students, Dr. Deah Cooper, Professor Oni Southerland, Professor Victoria Draven and Professor Chloe Athens-Vollenhoven. They will be joining my teaching staff this year and are here for the students whenever it is needed. As former students of this very academy their insight may prove to be an asset whenever needed."

"As students at Xavier's School you will be put to the test, but along the way you will make lifelong friends and learn not only how to use your powers for the benefit of mankind, but how to be a better human being."

He paused for a second to let the photographers take a couple of pictures. The media frenzy surrounding opening ceremonies were no longer as grand as they once were. He assumed they were mostly after getting shots of the more famous X-Men, who were standing beside him.

"Now, the facilities are completely open for both parent and student to explore. Once you recieve your room assignments and have moved your belongings, you are free to roam the campus and tour the facilities. There is plenty of food for everyone, please take as much as you would like."

"And on behalf of my staff and myself, I want once more to welcome you to Xavier's Institute for Higher Learning. Welcome home."

And with one more round of applause, the students and parents all went off in seperate directions, moving items and meeting one another. Xavier smiled and welcomed some of the returning students, and then hastly made his way into the mansion for a conference call with Warren Worthington.

Subject:UPDATE! CHANGES! RULES! CAPS LOCK!
Posted by:tenchichan.
Time:4:34 pm.
Just making a few changes guys.

I'm still considering tomorrow as our official launch date.

HOWEVER, I realised I won't be available tomorrow evening to play. I've got a term paper to write (and it's gunna suck ass.) I won't be available Tuesday either, due to evening classes.

Classes at Xavier's School will now start on Wednesday. Sometime in the evening I'll probably do a group chat with whoever is available. Meanwhile, I'll also throw up a message board styled scene as well.

A new ruling has been made. You are allowed to NPC any characters that your character has a relation to, provided said character isn't already being played by someone else. For example, Matthew will be allowed to NPC Psylocke, since his character Night Bane is Psylocke's son. However, I will not be able to NPC Spider-Man, even though I'm playing his daughter, because Dan is playing as Spider-Man.

However, if you decide you want to take the character on permanently, you'll be forced to do an application proper. And also, you must be willing to give up said NPC if someone else applies to play as them.

Can't wait to get playing!

Subject:MODERATOR UPDATE
Posted by:tenchichan.
Time:12:35 pm.
Classes at Xavier's School will start Monday, November 6th!

You can still do downtime scenes at the moment, if you so wish.

We have also expanded the roster to include "The Avengers" as well! If you'd like to send in an application, please try to do it this week while we're waiting to start.

You can apply with as many characters as you think you will be able to handle.

Later this week I will be making an OOC community, so please watch this space. After the OOC community is created, there will be friends add lists and AIM lists for everyone to use as a resource.

I would LIKE to do a full group scene when the game launches, but it depends on how many people are available on monday evenings. If all else fails, we can do the opening ceremonies as a message board thread.

I have plenty in store for this game, I'm hoping that in time, each of your characters will have some fun and entertaining storylines to play with. We WILL be going to the Savage Land at one point, and we WILL see some outer space action as well. I'm hoping to make this as much like the comics as possible.

And also, if you have any friends or people who might be interested, drop them a line and tell them about us! Community promotion means more students and more characters and more chances to have a good time.

Looking forward to next week!

Mood: bored.
I'm writing this to let everyone know that this game will not be continued, it was fun while it lasted and I enjoyed RPing with everyone.

I am also writing this to invite you all to apply to join x_menuniterp It is being relaunched and cleaned up at the moment, meaning there are ALOT of main characters still available. For the time being it is canon characters only, but there is talk of letting a few original ones into the RP..perhaps just to test it out.

I'm sorry that I can't keep this RP going, but I hope to see some of you at Unite.

Please feel to contact me or Mands for any additional information.

I've decided to close this game for the time being. I knew coming back to school would prove to be busy, but I wasn't sure as to how busy it would be. I don't regret my decision, since it was a long time coming and the few of you who are still left realise that there really isn't much of a game anymore.

For now, the position of moderator is left with Meesha, if she wants it. I'll leave it up to her if she wants to continue the game or leave it for somebody else.

As far as my characters are concerned, consider both of them dropped out of Xavier's School. Elliot wasn't fitting in well, so his return to home seems understandable. Chloe has been offered a position with X-Corporation and will be leaving immediately to persue it instead of waiting for graduation. Jinx can still be used as an NPC villian or killed off at the discretion of the moderators.

Please feel free to keep in contact, I do plan on creating a new game for the summer. XS was supposed to be a summer only thing, but due to the initial reset, the scheduling got off track. Originally there was a set storyline with a beginning and an end so that it would be a complete game, with the opportunity to persue it further.

Thanks for the great game guys, the only complaint I have is that it ended before its time.

This was the first X-men RPG I've enjoyed in a while. It really got me into journal/AIM games and I like the people who write here a lot. The concept is good and so are most of the characters. Playing Jean, however sparsely, has been fun too since I'd never tried before. Mands - your Scott is cool, even if he doesn't talk <3. Again, lots of fun. I can't tell you how much I miss XS being active.

I'm not going to bash you, Kris. I know what it means to have a life and be social. I completely understand that being online with people you never see isn't a priority in the larger scheme of things. But to be completely honest, this game hinges on the mods. You control the baddies, you control the entire plot, and there's not much else that we the players have been able to do to get the RPG on a roll because we can't interfere with whatever plans you have. And it's been at least two weeks since the last post from you on the game board. I personally don't feel the drive to write a gazillion meaningless scenes for months, I can't. I live through enough meaningless crap and that's not what I come online for. I need something to get my mind working...and I'm not finding it here.

So, you've probably guessed it. This is yet another good bye. I love my chars, they were fun to play, but there is no play right now. And I don't see the sense in sticking around if there isn't. If you get started again (like for real) and you need a strong player or two, give me an IM. I'd be happy to return. But for now, it's adios amigos.

Hanging out with you guys was good times. Please please IM me whenever you're bored. Losing touch sucks a lot.

(assume Noe went to check out that monastery and Siran's off with her Aunt, unsure of her return. I suppose Jean can be out doing something. She's cool like that.)

Yeah, you know it's bad when I gotta use a country song to say it for me. I hate to crap out on you guys this way, but just so we're absolutely clear on things: it's not that the dancing don't thrill me anymore, but just that I feel mighty silly hanging around once the music's stopped.

But I have had an amazing time with you-all, and if I don't sound terribly wishful for saying so, I do look forward to having many more yet! The rednecks are still out there, I'm still out there- TexasTwixters, piyadassi, and poddquad@aol.com, respectively- and I hope I've left a good enough account of myself to be welcome in future endeavors. Regardless, y'all do take care... and don't start partying 'til I'm out of earshot, you jerks!
